The entire audience, everyone from students to seniors, was thrilled with the performance. You cant go wrong with Simple Gifts! Diane Bargiel, Pennsylvania Presenters Past President Simple Gifts was fun, informative and energetic, and our audience absolutely loved them! Without a doubt, the best program we've held here in recent memory. Cassie Guthrie, White Plains Library, White Plains NY No other concert since has topped [Simple Gifts] on the fun meter. Carol Aulenbach, Reading Musical Foundation, Reading PA Few musicians can match the warmly personal stage presence Simple Gifts possesses. Their performances are noted for the infectious enthusiasm and sprinkling of good humor that come through. Jennifer OCallaghan, Celtic Classic Festival, Bethlehem PA Listening to Simple Gifts is like sampling an international buffet.
The number of instruments they pick up in a typical concert makes the
group anything but simple. This is acoustic music of the highest order.
Will Lebzelter, Centre Daily Times Our venue cant afford the Klezmer Conservatory Band or Klezmatics, but we dont need to with Simple Gifts around. Itzak Pearlman would be proud of them! Ray Hunsberger, Perkasie Patchwork Concerts, Perkasie PA These are marvelous musicians whose taste and delicacy are wellsuited to their material. Mike Miller, Philadelphia Folksong Society I love the music they perform ... all those wonderful instruments, the talents and humor they share with the Longwood visitors. The audience always learns something new. We love it. Priscilla Johnson, Longwood Gardens, Kennett Square PA Our middle school children were entranced and so enthused as these three women shared their gifts and the joy of music with them. The learning was so authentic as they learned a new instrument (spoons) and dance (clogging). Most importantly, our children witnessed the sheer pleasure music can bring/add to our lives. The Simple Gifts performers were exemplary in crafting each workshop for the audience so that our students gained the most from the experience. They simply were the best I have seen in reading our middle school students and then adapting their art for ultimate learning. Karen Czarny, Director of Curriculum, School District of Hatboro-Horsham, Horsham PA |
